Credits for courses on Continued Massage Therapy are calculated according to the rules of the organizations that have approved us to sponsor the course. In most cases, credits are determined by the duration (run time) of the course.
Continued is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education provider (AP #1001144). For NCBTMB, a 60-minute course is offered for one CE hour. CE hours may be awarded in whole or half-hour increments only.
Continued is approved by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a sponsor of continuing education for licensed massage therapists (#00057). For NYSED, the awarding of continuing education hours is based on a contact hour, which is defined as not less than 50 minutes of an organized learning activity. Thus, a program of two clock hours may be awarded up to 2.4 contact hours (120 minutes รท 50 minutes = 2.4 contact hours).
The number of credits offered is displayed in the course library. Select a state and license type in the search filters to find the number of hours offered for your license.
The course summary page, accessed by clicking on the course title in the library, offers more detailed information about all the credits offered for a course. On this page, you must select a state and license type (if applicable) to see credits offered.
